Did a lot of jazz listening myself this holiday weekend. I had the pick of the lot from a bunch of records that belonged to the late husband of one of my mom’s good friends. Artists I got to know include Al Hirt, Sarah Vaughn, Maynard Fergison, Stan Getz, Errol Garner, and Art Tatum. Many of them I heard on this great 10-disc compilation album from the 60s called “World’s Greatest Music Series Pop Jazz.” Sounds amazing on vinyl—I’m hooked!!
