I loved your punk list. However, I felt this one fell short. Here are some crucial albums:

Boards of Canada Music Has The Right To Children (I honestly don't know how you can make a list without this album. It is also one of the greatest albums of all time), Autechre EP7 or LP5 (can anyone make music more futuristic than Autechre? I thought that's partly what electronica was about), u-ziq Lunatic Harness, and maybe Prefuse 73 One Word Extinguisher. Not to mention some other albums that were already mentioned.

That being said, I enjoyed your lists very much and agreed with some of the selections on this list.

I like the way you write, dkpresents; subtly great without coming across like a pretentious a**hole. I mostly agree with your list except I'd put Exit Planet Dust in the top 20 and I'd add Freaky Chakra vs. The Single Cell Orchestra to the list as well.

Nice compilation. I'd agree with a lot of those. I'm impressed you got Neu! in there. They are pioneers no doubt. Waaaaay ahead of their time. Best of all time is always tough for me to judge, especially w/ music like electronic that progresses so quickly and follows trends. Another classic that is missing is Man Parrish. I love electro, hip hop and progressive house and he is the creator of that sound. He definitely leans more toward hip-hop, but he's an electronic pioneer. Here's a link: http://www.manparrish.com/biography/

My current faves are: Modeselektor, Claude Von Stroke, Booka Shade, Digitalism, Lee Burridge

FYI, the artists listed at the bottom of this post all attempted to make an electronica album at one time or another, with less than satisfying results...

1st of all I love the New Order
me myself am not very educated on this genre but I have a very dear friend who leads double music life
doom/sludge vs Electronica, to me its so bizarre
Recently He begged me to go see Massive Attack Live

the 12 Pioneers Of Electronica list is Great
Cheers
