The P Speaks: Left Ear for Lyrics, Right Ear for Rants

Music to my [Left] Ears

Ear - diagram

I was reading today that the LEFT EAR is better suited to processing musical tones, as it sends information to the right brain… so tilt your head accordingly when trying to figure out lyrics!

The left brain, however, can follow rapid speech rhythms better than the right brain, so use your RIGHT EAR next time you are trying to hear those mumbled intros from the stage.

Thank the helpful researchers from UCLA for figuring this out.
